The Wise Bracelet
A part of the Inheritance collection, inspired by petroglyphs carved into mountainsides.
Obaid Bin Al-Abras was one of the most famous pre-Islamic poets whose name is still present today. He was a magnificent poet that still gains recognition whenever pre-Islamic poetry or “Mu’allaqat” are mentioned. Muallaqat is a group of poems that were famous in the pre-Islamic era, they were hung on the wall of the ‘Kaaba” which reflects their importance at the time.
The meaning of the writing says: Whoever asks people for his needs, they deny him. As for the one who asks God for his needs, he will not be disappointed”
These petroglyphs are found today in Saudi Arabia, and date back to 400-598 BC.
